As things in the hub calm down and become more settled I thought we would move to a monthly newsletter instead of the weekly ones.
PHASE 2 OF COVID 19 RESPONSE:
So as the government leads us out of lock-down with schools and business beginning to open, the new track and trace system is likely to affect our community over the coming months. It is now possible that anyone one of us in the community could receive the call to say we and our families have to self isolate for 14 days.
The Hub is ready to respond to those who find themselves suddenly requiring assistance in this eventuality. We ask all volunteers to alert us if they find themselves in this situation and please do let neighbours and friends know that we are here to help any of them during this phase.
I can now confirm that we have received £175 from Warwickshire County Council, the funds are being held on our behalf by the Parochial Church Council for which we are grateful.
SECOND LEAFLET DELIVERY:
A huge thank you to all involved in delivering our new leaflets to every house in the parish. A special thank you to Annette for taking over the organising of that when things got a bit tough in the Moon Household. We are all now fine and recovered from our experience of Covid 19.
PARISH COUNCIL GRANT:
The Parish Council have offered us a grant to cover the costs of the PPE purchased so far, the cost of running the hub mobile and the cost of the website hosting. Thank you to Tara for helping with the application for this grant.
HEART OF ENGLAND COMMUNITY PROJECTS:
We have taken delivery of 13 garden activity boxes. These boxes are for those aged 60+ who are shielding and who have an open space to plant three pollinator plants and watch for the insects that are attracted to them. The resources are of an excellent quality and include quizzes and puzzles as well as an insect identification booklet. If you know anyone who might appreciate one of these boxes please do email ettingtonhub. We can access more boxes if required.
